Members of the general public will have an opportunity to comment on these proposed regulations at a public hearing scheduled at 7:00 PM on November 12, 2025, at the Susan Shipman Environmental Learning Center (DNR Coastal Regional Headquarters Office, One Conservation Way, Brunswick, GA 31520). Those unable to attend the hearing may submit comments on this proposed rule electronically by sending an email to wcscomments@dnr.ga.gov using the subject line "Bird Island Rule," or by telephone at (912) 262-3128, or by submitting written statements mailed to the attention of Tim Keyes at: Georgia Department of Natural Resources/One Conservation Way/Brunswick GA, 31520. Deadline for Comments: All electronic and telephone comments must be received by Nov. 30, 2025.  All written comments must be post marked by Nov. 30, 2025. The Board of Natural Resources will consider the proposed amendments and any comments received at its meeting on Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at 9:00 AM, at A.W. Jones Heritage Center (610 Beachview Drive, St. Simons Island, GA 31522).
